Food Assistance Program

At Muffyn’s Specialized Healthcare Services (MSHS), we understand that many families caring for loved ones with disabilities or special needs face not only emotional and physical demands, but financial challenges as well. Access to basic necessities like food should never be a hardship.

Through our Food Assistance Program, MSHS provides grocery and food gift card support to help ease the burden and ensure families have access to essential nutrition during times of need.

Caring for a loved one often requires balancing multiple responsibilities, and for many families, food insecurity can become an added stress. Our program is designed to offer temporary relief and support, helping families maintain stability and focus on the well-being of their loved ones.

Who May Benefit

You or your family may be eligible for food assistance if you:

  • Are experiencing financial hardship
  • Are caring for a loved one with a disability or special need
  • Need temporary support to maintain access to food
  • Are balancing caregiving with limited income or employment challenges

What the Assistance Provides

Approved applicants may receive:

  • Grocery store gift cards
  • Food assistance for essential household needs
  • Short-term support during times of financial difficulty

Food Assistance Awards

Eligible families may receive food gift cards ranging from $50 to $200, based on demonstrated need and availability of funds.

Funding is limited and awarded with care and consideration to ensure support reaches families who need it most. Families may apply once per year, and all applications are subject to review and approval.
